Juergen Teller

Today, I am seeing some magazines and casually I have found two pamphlet, they are from a Juergen Teller´s exhibition. This exhibition was in Madrid in 2010. I went with my dear mother, she doesn´t care about mode, photography... So she didn´t know where we went, and when she saw the pamphlet she asked me: "but, are we going to see photography related with mode?" And really half exhibition was about this: photography for Marc Jacobs, life in backstage... But you also found private photos of him, his family...

Campaing: Marc Jacobs

His son

But who is Juergen Teller? This photographer so charismatic, is one of photographers, modelsm, designers that saw or see art, mode... with a completely different perspective, they remove over-the-top and shallow luxury that there are in this industry. Between this group, I have to mention Corinne Day, who is the hammer of this generation, she and her photos of Kate Moss changed this industry, this changed models with curves like Cindy Crawford or Claudia Schiffer for "waif" style, and "waif" is the name that in Kate Moss early years was known.

And I love this photos:

Bjork, Kate Moss, a Vivienne Westwood campaing, Cole Mohr in a campaing for Marc Jacobs.

Ghetto Nails

I am pretty sure that you have listened abaout the "gangsta" nails, for example Katy Perry is a famous person who wear this nails. Or Lana del Rey I really love this girl (but this is other topic), and her nails in Born to Die.

Maybe sometimes is excessive or uncomfortable, but this is the nail art and what this represent. Because the X-Large nails was used by gangster´s women (she didin´t need to clean, wash up...)

In countries like USA, you can find this in many places but in Spain (Madrid) it isn´t easy, I found Ghetto Nailz and I love the word that these girls do:

Photos by their twitter: @ghettonailz

And this is my beginning, I know it is a little thing, but I am going to keep on trying it.

Sky Ferreira

Jared Leto

Cole Mohr

Cole Mohr also is a model, from Texas, he represents a different actitude in the world of fashion, he had been “the bad boy of this industry” it is because he have a lot of tattos or because he is skinny and he does not represent a boy with a gym body, he had been working for brands like Dior, Jeremy Scott or Marc Jacobs.

Charlotte Free

Charlotte Free is a model, she is photographed by one of the best known (Terry Richardson). She usually works for brands like Vivienne Westwood and Jeremy Scott, both designers do crazy clothes. She is known for her pink hair, it is one of the things that differ Charlotte from the rest.
She is from Los Angeles and her style represents her live in that state.

First and second photos by Terry Richardson.

Season Spring/Summer 2012

This season (Spring/Summer) is full of new trends which are introduced by a lot of designers. This designers usually work for bigbrands (Some of this have their own brand or work for several). Although we already have a new seasom (Fall/Winter), I am going to tell us what we can search right now in shops.

Colors always represent something, they are a symbol, they are very important. For example if a designer shows a “new” color and this is wear by “it girls”, the other designers do not hesitate to use on their next collection.

Mint green:

In this season mint green is one of colors more representative, also one of more imitated by stores like Inditex group or similar.

Chritopher Kane                                           Chanel

Sirens:

This trend (mint green) come with the inspiration of the sea, this desings leave to the deep of the sea like “Atlantis”

Versace                                                                Salvatore Ferragamo

On the runway for Chanel, the singer Florence Welch, who belongs Florence + The Machine, sang one of her songs “What the water gave me”, while she went out of a shell, this represent seabed.

White:

Other of the colors more characteristic of the summer is white. This color represents minimalism, this is one of the most used by brands like Calvin Klein (this brand usually use this style)

Calvin Klein                 Alexander McQueen

The twenties:

Designers find inspiration in epoche, so they often look for information or photos of these times. For example the twenties, we can find dresses without Lines that mark the figure and low waists. These dresses can have prints in colors like black and gold (Art Déco). Also these dresses can have fringe (Charleston).

Gucci                                                Oscar de la Renta

Pijama:

Follow this times, the late twenties, men wore untidy clothes, this style looked like pijamas or sometimes pijamas were used to go out. These clothes were used in warm seasons.

Paul smith                                            Stella McCarney

Sophia Loren:

The inspiration in one of the muse of cinema: Sophia Loren, in the sixties and in her voluptuous figure. This is something that has marked this season: dresses with waist strong and with necklines. It is not the first time that the actress inspires some designs, of course a lot of this designers are italian.

Doce y Galbana                                           Diane Von Furstenberg

Dandy:

The words that characterize the style Dandy are male lines and suits.

Givenchy                                                 Lanvin

Maximalism:

Prints are increasingly present in runways, in every season spring/summer we can found flowers. When prints are mixed between themselves is called maximalism.
